Job Description

Cracker Barrel is a renowned American restaurant and retail chain that has been a beloved gathering place since 1969. Known for its comforting Southern cuisine, hearty servings, and unique retail offerings, Cracker Barrel provides an inviting environment where guests can relax, reconnect, and enjoy an experience that feels just like home. With more than 70,000 team members nationwide, Cracker Barrel prides itself on its rich roots and dedication to delivering more than just a meal – it fosters a community and culture where everyone is welcomed and valued.

At Cracker Barrel, being part of the team means more than just a job. Whether you are greeting guests with a smile, baking fresh biscuits, or working diligently behind the scenes, every role contributes to creating memorable moments for both guests and team members. The company emphasizes a collaborative environment where teamwork and pride in work are essential values. The inclusive and supportive culture offers ample opportunities for growth and development, starting from day one, supported by its industry-leading training programs and employee recognition initiatives.

The Busser role at Cracker Barrel is integral to maintaining the seamless flow of the dining experience. Every exceptional meal starts with a clean, comfortable table ready to welcome guests, and Busser team members make this possible. They do more than just clear tables – they set the stage for hospitality and new memories by collaborating closely with the dining room team to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. This role is perfect for individuals who are observant, proactive, and dedicated to helping not only customers but also their fellow team members.

Cracker Barrel understands that prior restaurant experience is not necessary for this position because they provide comprehensive training to bring every team member up to speed. This role fosters a strong sense of purpose and accomplishment by ensuring each guest’s experience is as welcoming and comfortable as possible. Besides assisting in everyday tasks, Bussers develop valuable skills such as organization, multitasking, and teamwork that can lead to career advancement within the company.

The company offers competitive pay with weekly payments and same-day pay options, ensuring employees feel valued and rewarded for their work. Both part-time and full-time Busser employees are eligible for health insurance coverage from day one, along with vacation time and access to an employee assistance program. Cracker Barrel supports each team member’s personal and professional growth with outstanding training programs and benefits like 401k plans with company match after 90 days and an Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees are welcomed into a culture that emphasizes belonging and community. From the initial onboarding through continual training and team events, Cracker Barrel strives to create an environment where every individual feels supported and appreciated. Additional perks include a 35% discount on food and retail items and exclusive savings on home goods, travel, cell phone plans, and more. Cracker Barrel’s approach to employment is holistic, ensuring the well-being and success of team members inside and outside the workplace.
