Known for serving quality food in a fun and welcoming atmosphere, Outback Steakhouse prides itself on delivering an AUS-SOME dining experience to every guest. The group emphasizes a culture of respect, enthusiasm, and camaraderie which creates a positive environment not only for customers but also for employees, who they affectionately call "Outbackers." Out West Restaurant Group upholds a commitment to treating people "Just Right," believing that success follows when employees and guests are treated with kindness and respect.

The company strongly supports inclusivity and equal employment opportunities, without discriminating based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status. Out West Restaurant Group also actively participates in philanthropic efforts through contributions to non-profit organizations like California Care and CORE, which provide vital support to restaurant employees and their families. Recognized as one of the Top 50 Franchisees in the U.S. for four consecutive years and awarded the International Franchise Association's Franchisee of the Year in 2022, the company prides itself on excellence both in business and community service.

This position offers an hourly wage of $16.90 plus tips and is classified as a non-exempt role, ensuring compliance with state wage and hour laws including paid sick leave and meal/rest breaks. Employees benefit from comprehensive health insurance plans including medical, dental, and vision coverage for those eligible under ACA regulations. Additional perks include meal discounts, a flexible schedule, a company-sponsored Employee Assistance Program, and opportunities for career advancement through structured leadership training programs such as the Shift Leader program.

As an Outbacker, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for guests. The role involves teamwork in bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables efficiently to support smooth restaurant operations. A general knowledge of the food and drink menu is essential to recommend and upsell items, enhancing guest satisfaction and maximizing revenue. You will also be responsible for answering phones promptly and professionally, managing cleanliness in public areas, and upholding food safety, sanitation, and safety standards during your shift.

This job requires physical stamina as it involves lifting up to 30 pounds, working in both hot and cold environments, prolonged standing and walking, and frequent bending and reaching. The ability to move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, sometimes low-light setting is essential to maintaining the high standards expected at Outback Steakhouse. Additionally, those applying must be able to obtain Responsible Beverage Service Certifications specific to California locations, which may be completed during training.

Out West Restaurant Group is dedicated to fostering a hospitable culture that values hard work, perseverance, and leadership. Employees are encouraged to grow with the company and take advantage of opportunities to move up within the organization. Offering a welcoming environment where teamwork is paramount, you will join a family of dedicated Outbackers committed to making every guest's experience enjoyable and memorable.
