Job Description
Panda Restaurant Group is a leading American Asian dining company that has been proudly family-owned and operated since its founding in 1983 by Andrew and Peggy Cherng. Headquartered in Glendale, California, Panda has grown to encompass close to 2,800 locations globally, including its original Panda Inn fine dining restaurants, Panda Express fast casual concept, and Hibachi San Japanese grill. Known for its commitment to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences, Panda Restaurant Group has established itself as the nation’s largest and fastest-growing Asian restaurant company. The company’s mission is to build an organization where people are inspired to better their lives, backed by a company culture dedicated to five core values: proactive, respect/win-win, growth, great operations, and giving. At Panda, associates find themselves in a supportive environment where investing in people is paramount, enabling team members from entry-level to management to enjoy competitive benefits and rewarding career opportunities nationwide.
Currently, Panda Restaurant Group is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated bussers to join their team. The role of a busser is crucial in enhancing the guest experience by supporting servers and ensuring smooth table turnover. Bussers play an integral part in maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining area by efficiently clearing and resetting tables, refilling water and tea, and restocking necessary items such as plates, silverware, and glassware. Panda believes the busser role is much more than just a support position; it is about making guests feel welcomed and cared for through exceptional service. This position requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Bussers are expected to uphold Panda's high standards for cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency while being vigilant to any potential guest issues and assisting servers with additional guest needs. This is an hourly position with a competitive pay range of $16.90 to $19.90 per hour, with individual pay determined by factors such as location and experience. Flexible schedules and comprehensive training are provided, making it an excellent opportunity for career growth and development within a company renowned for its dedication to employees and customers alike. Candidates who join Panda can expect not only to play an important role within the dining team but also to be part of a company that deeply values family, community, and continuous development.
