Founded in March 1988, Outback Steakhouse has grown into a beloved dining destination recognized for its distinctive menu and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant emphasizes a fun and respectful work environment where team members, referred to as "Outbackers," are trained to excel and deliver an AUSS-SOME customer experience.
Joining Outback Steakhouse as a Bartender offers a dynamic and rewarding career path within a reputable and well-established restaurant group. This full-time position invites individuals who are passionate about crafting exceptional drinks and providing top-tier customer service in a vibrant setting. Bartenders at Outback Steakhouse play a crucial role in bringing the spirited drinks menu to life, ensuring each guest receives attentive, friendly, and responsible service that enhances their overall dining experience. The role demands a detailed understanding of the drink menu, the ability to recommend and upsell effectively, and a commitment to safety and sanitation standards. Employees can expect to work in a supportive environment where professional growth is encouraged and recognition for excellent service is common.
As part of the Out West Restaurant Group, employees benefit from a culture that values respect, camaraderie, and success for every team member. The company emphasizes indulging customers just like guests in their own homes and supporting the development of each employee for long-term career success. Recognized as the International Franchise Association's Franchisee of the Year in 2022 for excellence in local community service, Outback Steakhouse also prioritizes equal employment opportunities and workplace accommodations to enable all employees to perform their essential job functions effectively.
The bartender role specifically requires the ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing, walking, and bending for long periods and handling up to 30 pounds. California-based positions include the requirement for Responsible Beverage Service Certification to be completed during the training period. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies this position, including health, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, and meal compensation benefits when eligible. The role promotes a drug- and alcohol-free workplace, ensuring a safe and professional environment for all team members.
Overall, becoming a bartender at Outback Steakhouse means joining a respected leader in the restaurant industry that combines fun, career growth, and community impact.
