Job Description

Outback Steakhouse is a well-known Australian-themed restaurant that has been serving flavorful cuisine and providing an engaging dining experience since it first opened in March of 1988. Operated by Out West Restaurant Group, the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse, this establishment prides itself on a culture that combines fun with a serious commitment to food quality. The company emphasizes respect, camaraderie, and enthusiasm, fostering an environment where employees, known as "Outbackers," are trained to bring their best to work every day. The organization has been recognized for its excellence in local community service, receiving the International Franchise Association's Franchisee of the Year Award in 2022. Outback Steakhouse's guiding principle is to treat people "Just Right" to ensure mutual success and satisfaction, which translates into attentive and welcoming service for every guest.

Joining Outback Steakhouse as a Busser means becoming part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating an AUS-SOME guest experience. The role is designed for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where the primary goal is to ensure that every guest’s dining experience is memorable and enjoyable. As a Busser at Outback Steakhouse, you will play an integral role in the dining experience by bussing, cleaning, and properly resetting tables efficiently to maintain a welcoming atmosphere. This position is not only about keeping the restaurant clean but also about anticipating guest needs and providing excellent service by assisting servers and guests alike.

Your responsibilities will include having a solid understanding of the restaurant's food and drink menu so you can confidently recommend and upsell items to guests, which helps enhance their dining experience. The role also involves answering phones in a prompt and courteous manner, ensuring communication is clear and professional. Delivering food and beverages from both the kitchen and bar is an essential element of the job, as is maintaining safety and sanitation standards throughout your shift. Teamwork is critical in this position, as all Outbackers work collectively to ensure each guest has an AUS-SOME experience.

This opportunity offers more than just a job; it provides a career path within a company that values its employees. Outback Steakhouse supports its staff with benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, life insurance, and meal compensation benefits when eligible. The company also respects the importance of work-life balance by closing on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day to allow employees to spend time with their families and friends. As part of this community-focused and employee-oriented culture, you will have the chance to work in an environment that embraces diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunity for all applicants.
