The Busser role at Miller's Ale House is a crucial position that directly impacts every guest's dining experience. As a Busser, you are responsible for ensuring that the dining environment is always clean, welcoming, and comfortable from the moment guests are seated. Job Requirements

  • Follows company policies including time recording such as clocking in and out
  • Interacts with guests to provide high-level customer service
  • Works with team members to ensure guest needs are fulfilled
  • Assists host/hostess with greeting and seating guests
  • Assists servers with making and delivering non-alcoholic beverages
  • Ensures proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Maintains clean and sanitized work areas
  • Washes hands every 20 minutes
  • Ability to remain standing for extended periods
  • Able to bend, squat, and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Communicates effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment

Job Duties

  • Arrives to work on time as scheduled and ready to work
  • Follows Miller's Ale House policies including time recording requirements
  • Interacts with guests to provide highest level of customer service and create exceptional guest experiences
  • Works directly with other team members to fulfill guest needs promptly
  • Assists host/hostess with greeting and seating guests
  • Assists servers with making and delivering non-alcoholic beverages
  • Assists with providing non-alcoholic drink refills
  • Runs food to and from guests while ensuring proper food handling
  • Acknowledges all guests within five feet in a friendly manner
  • Responds immediately to guests' requests and inquiries
  • Performs table quality check backs to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Cleans tables and spills during guests' visits
  • Pre-busses dishware as guests finish eating
  • Removes all plate and glassware after guests depart
  • Resets tables promptly with perfect silverware setup and cleanliness
  • Collects bus tubs at quality assurance and server stations
  • Empties trash cans in the restaurant
  • Ensures proper food handling and sanitation of work areas
  • Completes end-of-shift side work including stocking and preparing work areas for next shift
  • Washes hands every 20 minutes and maintains clean and sanitized work areas
  • Supports other front of house functions as needed
  • Communicates positively with team members and management
  • Provides exceptional service throughout the shift
  • Multitasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Meets minimum age requirement of 18 years or per state law
