Job Description

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, established in 1969, is a cherished American restaurant and retail company known for its warm hospitality, homestyle meals, and nostalgic country store ambiance. With a network of more than 70,000 team members across the United States, Cracker Barrel is more than just a dining destination — it's a gathering place that fosters a sense of belonging and community for guests and employees alike. The company blends traditional Southern cooking with friendly service and unique shopping experiences, offering not only delicious food but also a welcoming environment where guests can feel at home. Cracker Barrel's commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and team member growth has made it a beloved brand for families, travelers, and locals.

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Bussers, an essential role within our restaurant operations. As a Busser at Cracker Barrel, you will contribute significantly to creating an exceptional dining experience. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and maintain the dining area by ensuring tables are clean, comfortable, and ready to welcome guests. This role extends beyond simple clearing duties; you set the tone for hospitality by resetting the stage for memorable moments. Working in close collaboration with the dining room team, including servers and hosts, you will help maintain a smooth flow of service that guests truly appreciate.

This is an ideal position for individuals who have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and thrive in a team-oriented workplace. Even if you have no prior restaurant experience, Cracker Barrel offers comprehensive training programs to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. The position is open to both full-time and part-time applicants, with competitive weekly pay and opportunities for same-day pay access.

At Cracker Barrel, employee well-being and development are prioritized. Newly hired Bussers gain eligibility for health insurance from day one, along with access to vacation time and an employee assistance program. The company supports long-term growth through industry-leading training programs, 401k retirement plans with company match after 90 days, and an employee stock purchase program. The culture fosters inclusion and camaraderie through onboarding processes, development initiatives, employee recognition, and social events.

Additional perks include a generous 35% discount on Cracker Barrel food and retail products, as well as exclusive discounts on home goods, travel, and cellular services through the Biscuit Perks program. Whether starting your career or looking for a rewarding position in a company that values teamwork and community, Cracker Barrel is committed to helping you thrive in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Joining Cracker Barrel means being part of a company with deep roots and a strong mission to deliver excellent dining experiences while providing employees with opportunities to succeed and feel valued every day. If you're someone who spots what needs doing, takes pride in making things better for others, stays organized, and brings a team-first mindset, this is the place for you. Come join a community where work truly means more, and together, we are all in good company.
