Job Requirements

Be punctual to begin work
Wear proper uniform including black slacks, Black Bear Diner shirt, suspenders, slip proof shoes, and name badge
Maintain a neat and clean appearance
Use radio headset at all times during shift
Setup dining tables with place mats and silverware
Clean and maintain floor and dining room areas
Buss and reset tables with sanitizer
Clean windows, bathrooms, and restock supplies
Clear outside walkways and parking areas
Assist servers and guests as necessary
Keep service stations clean and manage trash
Sweep and vacuum floors during and at end of shift
Work overtime if needed
Report equipment failures and supply shortages to manager
Take breaks on time and return promptly
Take ownership of entire restaurant environment
Complete all tasks assigned by management willingly

Job Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar dining or restaurant environment preferred
Strong communication skills including ability to use radio headsets
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment
Good physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and perform cleaning duties
Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

Greet guests in a professional, friendly, and family oriented way before, during and after meal periods
Maintain the cleanliness and setup of the dining room tables including place mats and silverware
Buss and reset tables using sanitizer to clean surfaces
Clean windows, counter ledges, and restock bathrooms
Clear debris and spills in walkways and parking areas outside of the restaurant
Assist food servers and refill beverages as needed
Sweep and vacuum floors at the end of shifts and ensure proper setup for the next day
