Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clears and resets tables according to restaurant standards
  • adheres to service steps using the service standards manual
  • ensures tables are pre-bussed throughout shift
  • removes plates and silverware from tables as guests finish
  • ensures silverware is polished and china and glassware are free from chips
  • works diligently to avoid breakage and loss
  • keeps refillable beverages always full
  • notifies servers when bringing coffee, tea, or other beverages to tables
  • completes opening, ongoing, and closing side work as assigned
  • stocks and restocks linens
  • stocks and restocks workstations with glasses, plates, and saucers
  • informs servers of any potential guest issues
  • removes dishes, glasses, silverware, and other items to the kitchen for sanitation
  • provides general resort information to guests
  • offers warm and sincere welcome and farewell to guests
  • maintains up-to-date knowledge of resort amenities and events
  • interacts professionally with resort staff
  • upsells resort services and amenities
  • familiarizes with all menus
  • attends mandatory department and resort meetings
  • answers questions and makes menu recommendations
  • performs food prep duties such as bread and butter set-ups and condiment preparation
  • verifies tables and floors are clean
  • assists servers with monitoring customer satisfaction
  • addresses guest issues promptly and with concern
  • provides assistance to resort staff as needed
  • maintains awareness of safety issues and reports incidents
  • acts responsibly towards company property and equipment
  • maintains professional appearance following dress code
  • remains alert, courteous and helpful to guests and colleagues throughout shift
