Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or foreign equivalency
  • minimum of one year restaurant experience in land-based or shipboard operation
  • minimum of one year experience selling and serving wine and beverages
  • intermediate to advanced English verbal and writing skills
  • courses or training in safety, environmental, public health and sanitation regulations
  • physically capable of standing, walking long distances, lifting over 25 pounds
  • able to work in varied temperature conditions indoors and outdoors
  • able to participate in emergency life-saving procedures and drills
  • able to pass basic safety course
  • ability to work seven days a week
  • ability to live in close quarters and share cabin space
  • professional appearance and good hygiene

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year previous restaurant experience in land-based or shipboard operation

Job Duties

  • Turning over tables and promoting beverage service in the Buffet
  • responsible for safeguarding all equipment and materials required for operation
  • performs other related duties as assigned or directed
  • familiar with Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and SEMS
  • escorts guests and/or resets tables as assigned in Main Dining Rooms
  • assists waiters with stocking, cleaning and maintaining waiter stations
  • ensures restaurants are properly cleaned at end of each meal period
  • sets up Crew Mess and maintains cleanliness during service
  • cleans and sanitizes food line, beverage dispensing machines and restocks at end of service
  • sets up and cleans assigned Buffet station
  • complies with sequence of beverage service to ensure timeliness
  • performs side work including silverware roll-ups, emptying trash and stocking beverage station
  • mans non-cooking buffet stations such as carving and dessert stations
