Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to serve alcohol
- must be able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- TABC certification, Tips training, and Food Handlers certification are highly preferred
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- ability to move or push goods on hand carts or trucks weighing up to 150 lbs
- ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in hospitality or food service is a plus but not required
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work with a sense of urgency
- excellent communication skills
- teamwork and cooperation
- ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks
Job Duties
- Ensure that the entrance to the restaurant has someone there to greet guests at all times
- ensure that the front of the restaurant is spotless at all times
- check on every table to ensure that it is clean, spotless and fully set up, and that all silverware and glassware is spotless before any guests are seated at the table
- check on guests to get feedback on the quality of their meals, service, etc., and share any problems that arise immediately
- schedule servers for breaks in conjunction with the supervisor depending on business volumes
- pitch in and help in service, including food runner and expeditor tasks such as ensuring the kitchen puts out dishes according to ticket specifications and relaying orders from wait staff to the kitchen
- perform all other duties as assigned
