Job Description
Caesars Entertainment, Inc. is a renowned leader in the hospitality and entertainment industry, known for delivering exceptional experiences in its diverse portfolio of resorts, casinos, and restaurants. With a dedication to excellence and creating extraordinary moments for its guests, Caesars stands out as a premier destination for entertainment, leisure, and dining. Operating with a commitment to its core values of Together, We Win, All In On Service, and Blaze the Trail, Caesars fosters a supportive, inclusive, and dynamic work environment where team members are empowered to contribute to the company’s ongoing success. The company emphasizes diversity and equal opportunity, encouraging applicants from all backgrounds to be part of its thriving team. Caesars Entertainment is also committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, offering reasonable accommodations to ensure all qualified individuals can perform their roles effectively. Candidates applying for positions within the company, such as the Busperson role discussed here, will be required to undergo a comprehensive background check and obtain an Illinois gaming license where applicable as part of the onboarding process. This role is part-time with a competitive compensation rate of $15.00 per hour, offering candidates a chance to gain experience and grow within a global entertainment leader.
The Busperson role at Caesars Entertainment is a vital support position within the dining services team, designed to assist servers and maintain a welcoming, efficient dining environment for guests. This role is central to enhancing the overall dining experience by ensuring that tables are cleared promptly and reset for upcoming guests, that clean china, flatware, and glassware are readily available, and that basic guest needs such as non-alcoholic beverage delivery are met. In this position, the Busperson must maintain a clean and orderly dining area by following strict cleanliness standards, managing supply levels, and assisting where needed to support seamless service flow throughout the shift. The role demands a pleasant and approachable personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and responsive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. Physical stamina is also essential, as the Busperson will spend a significant portion of their shift walking and standing, often carrying and handling objects up to 50 pounds, and performing tasks that require bending, twisting, and reaching.
Key responsibilities in this role include ensuring all dining areas are clean and free of debris, maintaining a constant flow of dirty dishes to the kitchen, promptly clearing empty glassware and dishes from tables, and meticulously cleaning dining room tables and booths. The Busperson also plays a crucial part in creating a positive guest atmosphere by acting as a role model for other staff, responding to guest inquiries or complaints with professionalism, and providing a warm farewell to patrons. Flexibility is a must, as the shift hours typically cover busy dining periods from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Thursday through Sunday, though adjustments may occur based on operational needs.
Caesars Entertainment's Buspersons benefit from a comprehensive package including a 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions up to 6%, a generous paid time off policy to support work-life balance, education assistance programs for professional growth, and exclusive team member discounts. Joining Caesars means becoming part of a company that values its people, nurtures talent, and strives to create a spectacular environment not only for guests but also for its employees. The Busperson position offers a unique opportunity to enter the vibrant hospitality industry, gain valuable career experience, and contribute to the unforgettable experiences that define Caesars Entertainment.
