At the Canopy San Antonio location, White Lodging is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Busperson to join their team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service excellence that the brand is known for. The Busperson supports the Food Runner and ensures that all tables are set correctly and cleared promptly, contributing to a seamless dining experience for guests. Communication and collaboration with servers are essential aspects of the role, as the Busperson assists with table maintenance, beverage delivery, and other tasks designed to anticipate and meet guest needs.

This position is ideal for individuals who have an outgoing, social personality and a passion for service. The role demands flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and friendliness. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment preferred
  • ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • basic math skills for payment processing
  • ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment

Job Duties

  • ensure that all tables are clean and properly set
  • assist the Food Runner when necessary
  • work closely and maintain excellent communication with servers
  • assist servers with table maintenance, clearing, marking, and beverage delivery
  • anticipate guest needs and offer exemplary hospitality
  • exhibit professionalism and friendliness at all times
  • learn to operate the Host Stand
  • be knowledgeable of all menu items, contents, preparation methods, and garnishes
  • accurately answer any guest questions
  • perform all cleaning, opening, and closing duties as assigned
  • process all payment methods
  • maintain a neat and professional personal appearance
  • perform other duties as assigned
