The role of Server Assistant at Invited is integral to maintaining the exceptional service standards that define its private clubs. This is a front-line position supporting the food and beverage (F&B) team by ensuring an efficient, friendly, and seamless dining experience for members and guests. Server Assistants assist in a variety of duties including delivering food and drinks promptly, setting up and cleaning dining areas, restocking supplies, and providing basic menu information to guests. Their efforts directly contribute to the welcoming atmosphere and operational smoothness that keep members returning.
Reporting to the F&B Director, Banquet Manager, or Restaurant Manager, the Server Assistant is expected to uphold high levels of professionalism and commitment to excellence in every interaction. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- relevant experience in food and beverage service preferred
- current food handler and alcohol server certifications as required by state and city regulations
- ability to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods
- ability to work in varying temperatures and environments with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases
- capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required
- able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
- effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food and beverage service
- current food handler and alcohol server certifications as required by state and city regulations
- completion of Invited's food and beverage service training program
- excellent communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and effectively
- ability to follow instructions and communicate well with team members
Job Duties
- assist with delivering food and beverages to members/guests, ensuring prompt service
- help maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including setting up tables and restocking supplies
- gain basic knowledge of the a la carte menu and daily specials to assist with service and answer simple questions
- greet members/guests with a friendly attitude, providing basic assistance and ensuring a welcoming environment
- collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth dining experience, providing support as needed
- assist in handling member/guest requests and complaints, escalating issues to servers or management when necessary
- complete side work, including cleaning, organizing, and stocking work areas to meet club standards
