Job Description
Nexion Health is a nationally recognized leader in the skilled nursing and long-term care (SNF/LTC) industry, committed to delivering high-quality care through innovative solutions and a dedicated workforce. As a reputable healthcare services company, Nexion Health operates a network of facilities across multiple states, providing comprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of their residents. They are widely known for fostering a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow professionally. With a focus on both patient care and operational excellence, Nexion Health continually emphasizes the importance of compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while delivering compassionate, resident-centered services.
The Business Office Manager (BOM) position at Nexion Health is critical to the financial administration and overall business operations of their skilled nursing facilities. This role is specifically tailored for candidates with expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing within the SNF/LTC sector. The BOM is chiefly responsible for managing the billing processes to ensure that facility charges are accurately submitted to the appropriate payors. This includes overseeing collections on outstanding accounts receivable and ensuring resident trust fund management aligns with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines.
This full-time role offers a competitive starting salary range of $25.00 to $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. The scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing a structured weekday workweek. Working at Nexion Health means joining a company that prides itself on being a "Great Place to Work" due to its comprehensive employee benefits and supportive corporate culture.
Employees at Nexion Health immediately gain access to telehealth services for themselves and their families upon hire, underscoring the company's commitment to health and wellness. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision care plans, early pay options, flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA), and 401(k) retirement plans. Nexion also supports professional development through educational advancement opportunities paired with increased pay based on competency levels. They offer scholarships to employees and their dependents, as well as emergency relief programs to assist during unexpected circumstances.
In the BOM role, candidates will be expected to utilize their minimum of one year of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care billing experience specifically in a skilled nursing facility setting. Strong knowledge of billing processes, regulatory environments, and best practices in revenue cycle management within healthcare is essential. The ability to work independently while collaborating with broader teams to maintain accurate financial records and optimize revenue collection is critical to success in this position.
Nexion Health is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants of all genders, races, and backgrounds, as indicated by their EOE status. They seek to attract professionals committed to ethical billing practices, regulatory compliance, and superior patient service. The Business Office Manager will play a key role in supporting the financial health of the facility, thereby enabling continued excellence in resident care and operational effectiveness.
