The Business Development Manager (BDM) position at Southern Glazer's is a full-time role offering a competitive compensation package that includes an estimated first-year total earnings range between $65,000 and $80,000, inclusive of incentives and auto allowance/reimbursement. Job Requirements
- Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of state registration and insurance, and an acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Manage and stay within assigned budget
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- May require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 40lbs
- Physical ability to sit, type, walk, bend, reach, stand, and stoop
- Compliance with company policies on equal employment opportunity and affirmative action
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or 3-5 years of industry-related sales experience
- Strong communication, organization, and commercial planning capabilities
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence software such as Compass, Diver, Excel, and/or Proof
- Ability to understand and align with supplier strategies
- Clear understanding of financial acumen
- Ability to analyze data to anticipate potential issues and proactively address them
Job Duties
- Achieve revenue, margin, and gross profit targets as set by the Sales Director
- Communicate local program spending effectiveness to maximize company profits and evaluate ROI on initiatives
- Analyze and project quarterly and monthly business for assigned territory
- Provide conflict resolution, remove performance obstacles, and address relationship concerns among key accounts
- Identify market trends and developments in product categories and geographic regions
