The role of Bus Person at HHM Hotels is a vital position within the food and beverage service team, aimed at ensuring smooth, efficient, and pleasant dining experiences for guests. This position involves setting up and clearing tables, maintaining service stations, assisting food servers, and upholding established guest service standards along with the company’s sustainability initiatives, such as HHM’s EarthView program. The Bus Person will work closely with servers and kitchen staff to maintain a clean and well-stocked dining area throughout all meal periods. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow safety protocols
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Prior experience in food service is a plus

  • Strong physical stamina to perform standing, walking, lifting, bending, and other required motions
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety standards

Job Duties

  • Clear dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting
  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods
  • Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary
  • Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
