We are currently seeking Restaurant General Managers (RGM) to join our expanding team. The RGM plays a vital role in leading the overall operations of our restaurants, ensuring that each location meets GPS Hospitality's rigorous standards for guest satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and business performance. This leadership role involves overseeing various functional areas, including staffing, scheduling, safety compliance, financial management, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and capable of working across all shifts—from breakfast and lunch to dinner and late-night periods, including weekends.
The RGM is responsible for driving restaurant success by hitting sales and profit budgets, managing payroll and expenses, and ensuring tight restaurant controls on cash and inventory. They will lead a team of managers and crew members who share a passion for delivering impeccable service. The role requires strong operational expertise, effective communication skills, and the ability to maintain a safe and clean environment that complies with all health and safety regulations.
Additionally, the RGM will foster positive relationships within the community and maintain frequent interactions with guests, local businesses, and various organizations to enhance the restaurant's public image and reach. Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of general manager experience in a restaurant or retail setting
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume setting
- Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of general manager experience in a restaurant or retail setting

- Strong critical thinking and leadership skills

Job Duties
- Ensure team provides outstanding service and satisfied guests
- Hire, train and coach the restaurant team
- Utilize GPS Hospitality systems to run a high-quality restaurant, especially accurate projections and great schedules
- Implement restaurant controls, especially cash and inventory
- Maintain frequent contact with the public, business, and community organizations to develop and improve public relations
- Meet standards for speed of service, food safety and cleanliness
- Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure all equipment is clean and maintained
- Work all shifts including breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night, and weekends
- Follow all government regulations, employment law, food safety, operations policies and cash policies
- Supervise in accordance with GPS values, traits and behaviors
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management about plans, progress and problems
- Successfully implement all marketing promotions
- Participate in the implementation of company policies, standards, training and management development
- Train and develop assistant managers and manager trainees in management skills and technical knowledge
