We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Restaurant General Managers (RGM) to join our team. The RGM is a pivotal role responsible for leading restaurant operations and ensuring the location consistently meets GPS Hospitality’s high standards. This position involves overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s performance, including quality, customer service, cleanliness, financial controls, and staff management. RGMs work closely with their team of managers and crew to cultivate a service-obsessed culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. The role demands strong leadership skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage all shifts effectively—including breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night, and weekends.

As a Restaurant General Manager, you will have the overall responsibility for achieving sales and profit budgets, maintaining safe and clean restaurant environments, executing accurate labor projections and schedules, and implementing tight controls over cash and inventory. You will also play a key role in hiring, training, and developing a talented team of shift leaders and service staff. Regular communication with customers, local businesses, and community organizations to promote and enhance the restaurant’s public relations is a vital function of this position.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of general manager experience in a restaurant or retail setting
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume setting
  • reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the US

Job Duties

  • Ensure team provides outstanding service and satisfied guests
  • hire, train and coach the restaurant team
  • utilize GPS Hospitality systems to run a high-quality restaurant, especially accurate projections and great schedules
  • implement restaurant controls, especially cash and inventory
  • frequent contact, both inside and outside the restaurant, with the public, business, and various community organizations to develop and improve the restaurant’s public relations
  • meet standards for speed of service, food safety and cleanliness
  • demonstrate strong critical thinking skills
