Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalence
  • Two or more years experience in plant production work
  • Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program
  • Completion of formal management skills training program
  • Certification to operate metal detector(s)
  • Ability to instruct and monitor safe operation of equipment
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years experience in all areas of plant production work
  • High school diploma or equivalence
  • Completion of AIB Bakery Science Residence Program
  • Completion of formal management skills training program
  • Demonstrated competency in job activities affecting product safety, legality, and quality
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to promote positive employee relations and teamwork
  • Knowledge of safety policies and regulatory requirements
  • Certification to operate facility metal detector(s)

Job Duties

  • Direct the operation of shift production, including checking formulas, assigning work tasks, monitoring procedures and schedules to ensure adherence to standards
  • Ensure production technicians and outsourced labor are properly instructed in the care and safe operation of equipment and monitor employee use of equipment
  • Review records and procedures to ensure proper use of time and materials
  • Perform continuous inspections of products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Ensure all equipment is in good operating condition
  • Promote positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication and cooperation
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel through enforcement of safety policies and procedures including inspections and periodic safety meetings
  • Plan and adjust work assignments of personnel to cover all phases of production
  • Operate the facility metal detector(s) after full training and certification
  • Ensure employee compliance with work rules
  • Assist with employee training
  • Make recommendations on disciplinary actions and participate in the disciplinary action process as necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures including EEO, sexual harassment, safety, and Sarbanes Oxley
  • Perform other duties deemed integral by management including fulfillment of work schedules and adherence to attendance policies
