Job Description
Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, as well as hardgoods and related products. It is recognized as one of the largest U.S. suppliers of safety products and a top provider of ammonia products and process chemicals. With a dedicated workforce of approximately 18,000 associates, Airgas is committed to fostering a culture centered on safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. These values empower its employees to share ideas, take initiative, and make impactful decisions.
Airgas operates as a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for various industries including healthcare. Air Liquide has a presence in 60 countries, employs around 66,500 people, and serves more than 4 million customers and patients worldwide. This international footprint and diverse workforce create a dynamic environment that promotes growth and opportunity for its employees.
The Bulk Driver position, based in Waxahachie, TX, plays an essential role in the delivery and handling of ammonia products. This is a full-time role with competitive compensation ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting the importance of the driver’s expertise and commitment including overtime pay. The role offers a referral bonus of $1,000, safety bonuses up to $2,000 per year, and weekly pay through direct deposit. Drivers may expect occasional overnight stays, approximately once a month, to support operational needs.
The role requires flexibility with shifts starting at midnight or 8 a.m. and supporting operations throughout the week, including weekends. This position involves delivering hazardous cargo safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent professional appearances of both the driver and the vehicle. Drivers use modern, technologically advanced equipment such as On Board Computers, collision avoidance technology, and cameras to ensure safety and efficiency.
A detailed focus on customer service is critical, as Bulk Drivers not only deliver products but also engage with customers to ensure alignment with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and handle service inquiries effectively. The role involves maintaining precise documentation including load manifests and vehicle documents, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and managing the loading and unloading of trucks.
Airgas supports its employees with comprehensive benefits designed to positively impact their lives, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance, as well as paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plans with company match, tuition assistance, and paid holidays and time off. New employees have early access to benefits starting just 30 days after employment. Overall, this role presents an exciting opportunity for experienced CDL Class A drivers with hazmat endorsements to join a reputable company that values diversity, safety, and professional growth.
