As a Server at Southland Casino, you will play an integral role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This role requires exceptional service skills and the ability to efficiently handle orders and cash transactions in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Your responsibilities will include greeting guests warmly, presenting menus, explaining daily specials, and promptly taking and serving food and beverage orders, including alcoholic drinks adhering to all service policies. Collaborating closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers will be essential to ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction. You will be tasked with maintaining cleanliness and organization of all workspaces, performing opening and closing duties, and utilizing the point-of-sale system for order entry and payment processing. This position offers both full-time and part-time schedules, with shifts often covering evenings, holidays, weekends, and special events. Compensation for this tipped position starts at an hourly wage of $10.00, exclusive of tips. Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as standing, walking, and bending for long periods of time, which may include walking up stairs
- visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks
- experience in cash handling and credit card processing
- at least one year’s experience as a server in a high-volume environment
- experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment
- no high school diploma or GED required

Job Duties
- Greet and attend to guests' needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answer menu questions, and collect food and beverage orders
- serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
- accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver checks to guests
- collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff
- perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned, and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning
