One such property is Southland Casino Hotel, located in West Memphis, Arkansas, just a short drive from downtown Memphis, Tennessee. Southland Casino Hotel boasts more than 2,200 slot machines, numerous live blackjack, craps, and roulette tables, simulcast wagering, and a sportsbook, alongside a new hotel offering 300 luxurious rooms and suites.
The hospitality environment at Southland Casino Hotel emphasizes guest satisfaction, dynamic experiences, and an engaging work atmosphere for team members. The company is dedicated to supporting employee growth through its comprehensive benefits package, training, and flexible scheduling, making it a sought-after employer in the gaming and hospitality sector.
The Server role at Delaware North Gaming’s Southland Casino is a pivotal position within the restaurant team. This full-time or part-time tipped role focuses on delivering outstanding table service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Servers are the face of the restaurant, responsible for greeting guests, providing menus, communicating specials, taking and delivering orders, and ensuring guests have memorable dining experiences. The Server must adhere to all policies, including responsible alcohol service, and cooperate with other restaurant and bar staff to maintain seamless operations.
This position demands physical stamina, the ability to multitask, and attention to detail. It requires standing, walking, bending for extended periods, and lifting up to 35 pounds. Additionally, accurate cash handling and point-of-sale system operation are essential skills. While no high school diploma or GED is required, candidates should have at least one year of serving experience in a high-volume setting.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $10.00, exclusive of tips, which can significantly increase total earnings. Delaware North Gaming offers attractive benefits beyond wages, including weekly pay, employee discounts, training and development opportunities, flexible work schedules, and eligibility for health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental leave, an employee assistance program, and tuition or professional certification reimbursements. Evening, weekend, holiday, and event shifts are typical, allowing for dynamic and varied work schedules.
Overall, this Server role is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and looking to grow with a reputable, globally recognized company. Delaware North encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds and is committed to equal employment opportunity principles. By joining the team at Southland Casino, Servers become part of a global legacy, delivering great times in a great place, and contributing to the hospitality industry’s future growth and innovation.
