Delaware North Gaming is actively seeking dedicated full-time and part-time Bussers to join its dynamic team at Southland Casino located in West Memphis, Arkansas. Southland Casino Hotel is a premier entertainment and hospitality venue offering guests an exceptional experience with its vast array of attractions including more than 2200 slot machines, live blackjack, craps, roulette tables, simulcast wagering, and sportsbook options. The casino complements its gaming facilities with a luxurious hotel featuring 300 rooms and suites, making it a sought-after destination for visitors in the Memphis metropolitan region. The Busser position plays an essential role in ensuring the seamless operation of the dining experience within the casino’s restaurant and food service areas. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization, Bussers are crucial in delivering an exceptional guest experience. The job requires excellent time management, prioritization skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced dining environment. As a Busser, candidates will be expected to effectively collaborate with the management and their team to respond promptly to changing demands in the dining room and contribute positively to guest satisfaction.
This position is a tipped role with a base pay rate of $15.00 per hour, excluding potential tips, allowing employees to maximize their earnings based on service. Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, balance, and move large food trays weighing up to 35 pounds
- Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions
- Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners
- No high school diploma or GED required
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of experience or training as a runner or busser with a similar style of dining, capacity, and volume
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong time management and priority-setting skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Check in with management for daily assignments and attend pre-shift briefing
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room
- Remove dirty dishes, silverware, and empty glasses from guest tables between courses and after guests depart
- Reset tables once guests leave, according to the floor plan or instructions from management
- Assist in counting china, glass, silver, and linen
