Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year cooking experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred
  • Ability to use all sensory capabilities including vision, hearing, tasting, smelling, touching, and speaking
  • Must be able to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation policies
  • Ability to handle kitchen tools safely
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food in a timely manner and follow all company recipes and specifications
  • Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking
  • Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience
  • Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently using methods such as tasting or piercing with utensils
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work station and kitchen
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas for safe, sanitary food-handling practices
