Job Requirements
- High school education or GED preferred but not required
- must have supervised a staff of 8 or more or worked as a cook in a similar setting for at least one year
- must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- willingness to be on-call during time away from work
- ability to maintain work area and comply with OSHA safety standards

Job Duties
- Prepares the proper amounts of quality food on time for each meal
- ensures customer satisfaction of quality of food by communicating with front house staff concerning resident comments
- assists in properly training of all new kitchen staff
- follows highest standards of safety and equipment operation
- enforces safety and sanitation program
- follows and cooks by all standard culinary practices
- works with the Executive Chef to develop new menus and ideas
