Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to work safely and follow safety protocols

  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and reaching

Job Duties

  • Receive assignment from supervisor and follow cleaning schedule to clean resident rooms, nursing stations, kitchens, dining rooms, therapy/treatment rooms, offices, restrooms, activity rooms, utility areas, closets, lobbies, lounges, and halls
  • Clean, dust, wash, and disinfect fixtures, floors, walls, doors, ceilings, water fountains, sinks, mirrors, glass panels, brass furnishings, ledges, shelves, vents, windows, and replenish supplies
  • Perform terminal cleaning duties in resident rooms upon discharge or transfer and prepare rooms for new occupants
  • Perform cleaning duties in isolation rooms according to policy and perform terminal cleaning when residents are transferred
  • Check and restock utility cart with supplies and equipment before cleaning
  • Maintain order of supply closet by arranging equipment and supplies neatly
  • Identify and report areas needing special housekeeping attention to Director of Housekeeping
  • Clean and disinfect resident care equipment
