Job Requirements

  • Prior experience with brunch and lunch/dinner service
  • Ability to prepare food according to specified recipes and standards
  • Proven experience in frying and sautéing
  • Must be able to assist chef and sous chef with daily tasks
  • Full-time availability
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Allentown, PA
  • Willingness to work day and night shifts
  • Must work in person at the restaurant location

Job Qualifications

  • Proven cooking experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Ability to effectively communicate with kitchen staff and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
