Job Requirements

  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License required
  • Experience in customs brokerage and import compliance
  • Ability to manage a high volume of entry processing
  • Willingness to work onsite full time in Chicago, IL
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Capability to meet strict regulatory deadlines
  • Open to supporting systems improvement initiatives

Job Qualifications

  • Active U.S. Customs Broker License
  • Strong background in customs brokerage with deep HTS classification knowledge
  • Experience handling high-volume entry processing, ideally over 100 entries per month
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a structured, fast-paced onsite environment
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Familiarity with customs brokerage software and compliance procedures

Job Duties

  • Serve as the on-site manager for all import customs brokerage activity
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and internal SOPs
  • Personally handle approximately 150 entry files per month including HTS classification and submission
  • Act as the subject matter expert for import procedures, documentation, and regulatory updates
  • Collaborate with IT and leadership to support the rollout of new clearance software
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to entry staff while being hands-on in operations
  • Drive process improvements during a major systems transition
