Job Description
Dutch Bros Coffee is a vibrant and community-focused coffee company that has established a strong presence through its dedication to exceptional customer experiences and a mission centered on love and community impact. This company prioritizes more than just serving great coffee; it fosters a culture of enthusiasm, positivity, and genuine connection among its employees and customers alike. Known for its distinctive philosophy of "love all, serve all," Dutch Bros emphasizes a people-first approach that encourages team spirit, authenticity, and adaptability. Employees, referred to as Broistas, represent the heart of the company culture, upholding the values that make Dutch Bros more than just a beverage company but a relationship business that fundamentally makes a difference one cup at a time.
In the role of a Broista at Dutch Bros Coffee, you will be immersed in a dynamic work environment where daily customer interactions are both rewarding and impactful. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers, offering them an outstanding experience by greeting them warmly, answering their questions about the menu and specials, and ensuring their orders meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. This position requires a person who is not just passionate about coffee but is also dedicated to creating positive community connections and fostering a supportive team environment.
The Broista role extends beyond the typical duties of serving coffee; it requires consistent demonstration of company core values such as speed, quality, and exceptional service delivery. As a Broista, you will be expected to maintain a positive and reliable work ethic, show up on time, and assist your teammates as needed to keep the store running smoothly. With a focus on employee empowerment, Dutch Bros offers training programs designed to equip you with the tools needed for success and encourages continuous professional development through educational benefits.
The company cares deeply about employee well-being, offering resources that support both mental and physical health, including an Employee Assistance Program and Employee Resource Groups. Employees also receive 8 hours of paid volunteer time annually to contribute to community efforts they are passionate about. Furthermore, Dutch Bros provides benefits such as a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, a tips pool, and swag as a part of the celebration of team spirit and achievement.
Working at Dutch Bros may involve physical activities such as standing, walking, and occasional lifting, and employees should be prepared for possible exposure to various weather conditions if working in an outdoor or drive-thru setting. The role also requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, proficiency in math for cash handling, and a Food Handler Permit or Certification, depending on local regulations.
Compensation for the Broista position can be up to $16.00 per hour, including average tips of $6.00 per hour, although actual tip amounts may vary by location and other factors. Overall, this role is ideal for individuals seeking a fun, fast-paced, and rewarding environment where they can grow professionally while making meaningful contributions to their community and fostering a vibrant, inclusive culture.
