Job Description

Dutch Bros Coffee is a dynamic and rapidly growing coffee company that has transformed the coffee culture with its unique approach to service, community, and employee engagement. Founded with a mission to love people, make a difference in the community, and provide extraordinary experiences, Dutch Bros stands out as more than just a beverage company—it’s a vibrant cultural phenomenon. With a strong focus on fun and positivity, the company has cultivated a workplace where employees, known as Broistas, are the heart of the culture and embody the core philosophy of "love all, serve all." This dedication to people-first values, community involvement, and exceptional customer interaction defines Dutch Bros Coffee’s approach and makes it an appealing destination for individuals seeking meaningful work in a supportive and motivational environment.

The role of a Broista at Dutch Bros is designed for individuals who are team players, authentic, adaptable, and people-oriented. As a Broista, you will engage with a diverse range of customers daily, providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that enhances every customer's experience. The job involves learning and educating customers about the extensive menu offerings, including specials and new products, ensuring every visit is memorable. Dutch Bros values consistency, speed, quality, and service, so it is essential that every order is prepared accurately and served with a positive attitude. Reliability and the willingness to help teammates when needed are also critical components of success in this role.

Dutch Bros Coffee invests heavily in its employees' growth and well-being. They offer comprehensive training programs to prepare new Broistas thoroughly, empowering them to deliver excellent service and generosity through the service window. Employees receive 8 hours of paid volunteer time annually to engage with their communities, reflecting the company’s commitment to social responsibility. Additionally, Dutch Bros supports physical and mental health through Employee Assistance Programs and Employee Resource Groups. The Education Benefit Program offers up to $5,250 per year for professional development after one year of employment, helping Broistas grow their career within and beyond the company.

Specific expectations include adherence to company policies and procedures as outlined in the Mafia Manifesto and Employee Handbook, maintaining a Food Handler Permit or Certification as required, and complying with all necessary trainings and certifications. The role requires a reasonable level of mental math capability for handling cash transactions, effective communication skills in English (with additional language skills valued), and the ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, lifting up to 65 lbs, and working in varying weather conditions. Dutch Bros also fosters a culture of positivity and celebration, providing company swag, free drinks, and matching 401(k) contributions up to 4% once eligible. Tips are pooled and distributed to trained Broistas, offering additional earning potential.

Compensation for this role is competitive, with wages up to $16.00 per hour, including an average tip amount of $6.00 per hour based on 2024 data. While tips may vary depending on factors such as location, hours, and service quality, Dutch Bros aims to deliver a fun, supportive environment where employees feel valued, challenged, and empowered to make a difference both in the workplace and their communities. If you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and socially conscious environment, Dutch Bros Coffee promises an engaging and rewarding career with opportunities for growth and development.
