The Broiler Cook position at J&G Steakhouse, part of The Phoenician resort, is a full-time, non-management role that offers exciting culinary opportunities for individuals passionate about food preparation and cooking in a luxury setting. This role involves preparing ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, and storing food, as well as cooking items to meet stringent quality and presentation standards. Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers is essential. Responsibilities also include ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and proper food storage, alongside maintaining the workstation's setup and sanitation. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G E D equivalent
- At least 1 year of related work experience
- Ability to follow safety and security policies
- Capable of standing walking or sitting for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
- Adherence to uniform and personal appearance standards

Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking including portioning chopping and storing food
- Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- Weigh measure and mix ingredients
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards presentation standards and food preparation checklist
- Operate ovens stoves grills microwaves and fryers
- Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently
- Monitor food quality while preparing food
