Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience as a broiler or grill cook in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
  • Ability to thrive under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Reliable, punctual, and a dedicated team player
  • Ability to lift, handle, and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand and move quickly for prolonged periods of up to four hours

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a broiler or grill cook in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
  • Strong understanding of meat temperatures, doneness levels, and steakhouse standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to culinary excellence
  • Experience in a full-service restaurant setting
  • Effective communication and attentive listening skills
  • Ability to distinguish various flavors, aromas, and textures

Job Duties

  • Expertly cooking and finishing steaks to guest specifications using high-temperature broilers
  • Maintaining Ruth's Chris quality standards for food preparation and presentation
  • Keeping the broiler station and kitchen line clean and organized
  • Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and consistent service
  • Adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations
