We are currently seeking a talented Back of House (BOH) Manager to join our thriving restaurant family. In this crucial role, you will lead the culinary team in preparing and delivering exquisite Italian dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, sanitation, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for overseeing all back-of-house functions, ensuring a clean, safe, and profitable kitchen environment. This includes managing food and labor costs to meet financial targets and driving employee retention through effective hiring, training, and ongoing development. Your leadership will be key to fostering a positive workplace culture where chefs and kitchen staff feel valued and motivated.

As the BOH Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining operational excellence while cultivating a fun and rewarding team atmosphere. You will conduct regular menu tastings, ensure adherence to recipes and food safety standards, handle inventory and ordering based on guest counts, and use feedback tools to continuously improve guest satisfaction. Your role also involves coaching and developing the kitchen team to hone their culinary skills and achieve superior performance. You will coordinate with the front-of-house team to align service standards and participate actively in pre-shift meetings to promote seamless restaurant operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in culinary management or a similar role
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen sanitation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle kitchen duties

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing back of house operations in a restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and culinary techniques

Job Duties

  • Create lifetime guests by delivering uncompromising quality service
  • Ensure the highest level of food quality and consistency in a clean, safe, profitable, and fun environment
  • Lead the chef family in preparing great tasting Italian food
  • Manage operational efficiency and EBITDA of all back of house functions
  • Hire, train and retain new and experienced BOH employees
  • Conduct regular menu tastings and ensure recipes and procedures are followed
  • Oversee safety, sanitation, and security policies and training
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
  • Coach and develop kitchen staff through feedback and training
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings and ensure kitchen readiness
  • Hold managers and staff accountable for performance
  • Foster a positive, fun, and professional work environment
