The Bartender role at Brio and Bravo is a key position responsible for delivering outstanding beverage services to guests in accordance with company standards. The role involves preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with courtesy and efficiency, maintaining bar equipment, and ensuring the bar area is clean and well-stocked. Bartenders are essential in creating a positive, high-energy environment that aligns with the company culture, fostering guest engagement and enjoyment from the moment guests arrive. Bartenders at Brio and Bravo are expected to have a thorough knowledge of all menu items, drink recipes, liquor brands, and compliance with state liquor laws. This position requires excellent communication skills to interact effectively with management, staff, and guests, always maintaining a professional and ethical demeanor.

As part of the role, bartenders are tasked with upholding company standards of guest service and operational procedures to create lasting impressions that encourage repeat business. Job Requirements

  • Meets the minimum age requirement for the service of alcoholic beverages
  • knowledge of bar setups, hours of operation, drink prices, and menu items
  • knowledge of all alcoholic menu items, liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, and daily specials
  • ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, and guests
  • ability to comply with state liquor regulations including those prohibiting service to minors and intoxicated patrons
  • capability to maintain bar equipment and complete opening and closing checklists
  • skill in preparing guest checks and processing credit cards adhering to cash handling policies

Job Qualifications

  •  Meets the minimum age requirement for the service of alcoholic beverages
  •  Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated patrons, and driving while under the influence
  • Two years experience and/or training (mixology, liquor, and food service)
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience

Job Duties

  • The Bartender is responsible for the preparation and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and menu items to guests, courteously, and efficiently in accordance with company standards
  • Assists in the maintenance of the bar area equipment via opening and closing checklists
  • Directs, implements and maintains a philosophy congruent with Company culture, which services as a guide to all staff members
  •  Strives to create an operation that values Company standards of Guest Service
  • Ensures that every point of contact with the Guest meets or exceeds expectations and creates a lasting impression to drive repeat business
  •  Creates and contributes to a high-energy environment that promotes maximum engagement and enjoyment for the Family and the Guest
  •  Communicates in an impactful and meaningful way with management and family members and fosters an open and respectful work environment
  •  Models and executes Company practices throughout the entire operation creating a high-energy environment for the family and guests alike
  •  Demonstrates competence and confidence in making sound effective decisions that benefit the guest and family
  •  Ensures compliance when determining potentially intoxicated guests per Company standards and procedures
  •  Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies and procedures and service standards
  •  Ensure proper documentation for all accidents and incidents per Company policies and procedures
  •  Maintain complete knowledge of all alcoholic menu items, liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, and daily specials
  •  Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink
  •  Maintain complete knowledge of bar setups, hours of operation, drink prices, and menu items
  •  Maintain complete knowledge of all liquor inventories available
  •  Maintain complete knowledge of property layouts, table/seat/station numbers, proper table setups, room capacity, hours of operation, price ranges, and dress codes
  •  Greet guests and take orders utilizing suggestive selling and upselling techniques
  •  Prepare guest checks and process credit cards while adhering to all cash handling and credit card procedures
