Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s Degree in construction technology
- 0-10 years related experience
- NACE Coating Inspector Program certification or equivalent
- Experience in bridge coatings inspection
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid state driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Ability to prepare construction reports and maintain records
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and extended shifts as needed
Job Qualifications
- NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP) certification or equivalent
- Bridge coatings inspection experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s Degree in construction technology
- 0-10 years of related experience
- Experience in construction materials testing
- Good interpersonal, communication, and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and strong decision-making skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to prepare and maintain reports and records with CMI software experience
Job Duties
- Monitor work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for bridge painting and minor structural steel repairs
- Coordinate construction phases with contractors, subcontractors, and agency personnel
- Review and advise on contractor plans and suggest necessary operational adjustments
- Make field measurements and conduct materials testing including concrete and soils
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including daily diaries, as-built plans, and pay quantity records
- Communicate with project engineers, contractors, local government, law enforcement, and suppliers to resolve issues and coordinate activities
- Participate in safety culture and work flexible hours as required
