Brewistas report directly to stand management and shift leaders, playing a crucial role in maintaining the daily operations of the coffee stand or store. Each shift offers opportunities to build meaningful relationships with customers, teammates, and vendors alike. Brewistas are skilled in preparing all drinks and premixes, managing point-of-sale transactions, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the overall customer experience is outstanding. The role demands both speed and attention to detail, always prioritizing the customer’s time and satisfaction.
Attending to every duty with urgency and a positive attitude, Brewistas help keep the store productive throughout all hours, including slower business periods. They are knowledgeable about the menu, able to assist customers in selecting beverages that suit their preferences, and adept at recommending customizations and new options. Personal presentation and professionalism are emphasized, with expectations for good hygiene, proper attire, and a ready mindset each workday.
This is a flexible position requiring adaptability and dependability, including availability for early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays if needed. Physical aspects of the job include standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, safely handling hot liquids, and occasionally working outdoors in various weather conditions. Safety and cleanliness standards are strictly followed to foster a healthy work environment.

Job Requirements
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products
- Ability to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for several hours at a time
- Ability to climb a ladder and use a step ladder
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary
- Ability to safely walk between and around cars in the drive-through lane
- Ability to safely use a utility knife
- Follow company procedure for communicating time off requests
- Bring good hygiene and dress appropriately for the assigned position
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- Ability to follow procedures and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Positive attitude and team player
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Converse with customers to confirm their drink orders, and correctly key them into our point-of-sale system
- Collect payments for orders and correctly count back change to the customer
- Prepare all drinks and premixes
- Move with urgency, on the customer’s time
- Stay productive and proactive throughout the entire shift, even when business is slow
- Make personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language
- Know our menu and drink customizations inside and out
- Help customers identify and correctly order their desired drink
- Offer suggestions and recommendations when appropriate
- Bring their best self to work every day following dress and hygiene standards
- Be familiar with shift change duties, checklists, and weekly chores
- Always be clocked in and ready to work at their assigned position when their shift begins
- Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations
