The Breakroom/Barista Attendant role at Aramark is essential in delivering exceptional customer service. This position is focused on ensuring that customers’ products are adequately stocked and that all equipment is properly maintained and clean. The Barista Attendant prepares and serves a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas, utilizing various coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers. The attendant is responsible for greeting customers warmly when they enter the establishment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, restocking supplies like cups, lids, syrups, and pastries, and managing equipment cleaning tasks. These responsibilities may vary slightly depending on the specific client requirements and business needs at different Aramark locations.
In addition to daily beverage preparation and customer interaction, the Breakroom/Barista Attendant manages inventory tasks which include unloading and stocking daily inventory, ensuring product freshness through date code monitoring, and managing orders and deliveries to client sites. The role also involves regular communication with clients to introduce new products, maintain promotional materials, and handle equipment maintenance repairs to the best of their ability. They are also responsible for reporting to the Route Sales Manager or General Manager regarding customer feedback, competitor activity, and any potential issues, thereby helping to maintain strong client relationships and high service standards.
This full-time role demands a high level of interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and adaptability to changing demands. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, managing time effectively, and engaging in physical activities such as lifting packages up to 50 pounds. The position may also require travel to assist other locations on short notice. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Willingness to travel on short notice
- Physical ability for frequent bending, reaching, standing and walking
- Problem-solving and urgency in task completion
- Experience with inventory management preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees and teas
- Operate coffee equipment including espresso machines, grinders and brewers
- Greet customers upon entry
- Restock supplies such as cups, lids, coffee beans, syrups and pastries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work environment and cafe seating area
- Clean countertops and coffee equipment including grinders, decanters and milk frothers
- Assist with opening and closing duties including setup, cleaning and inventory tasks
- Unload and stock daily inventory while monitoring product freshness
- Manage ordering, delivery and stocking of items at client locations
- Communicate new product interests to customer employees
- Use laptops to manage stocking PAR levels, product orders and client invoicing
- Perform minor repairs as needed
- Call in orders and service calls to head office
- Distribute promotional materials and merchandise product lines
- Clean equipment and exchange decanters during visits
- Report to Route Sales Manager or General Manager on customer feedback and competitor activity
- Establish and maintain positive customer relationships to uphold company image
