Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience in a fine dining restaurant or related guest service environment
Job Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and hospitality skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and interdepartmentally, with Restaurant, Kitchen, Spa and other Farmhouse departments
- Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and complies with Farmhouse Inn standards
- Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs, weekend and holiday availability is required
Job Duties
- Deliver prompt, excellent service to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Observe guests frequently to ensure satisfaction, respond courteously to any guest request
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, and any changes
- Take guest orders accurately, communicating any dietary restrictions or allergies to the kitchen
- Understand the POS system and its use - complete guest tickets in a consistent and accurate fashion so that precise information is received by the kitchen
- Monitor the quality of all food served/all areas visible to guests and maintain "snapshot of perfection" at all times
- Set up, restock, maintain and clean food serving and preparation area
- Maintain current CA Food Handlers Certificate
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county regulations and laws that pertain to possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages
