As a service-oriented Server with Schulte Hospitality Group, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional guest experiences that align with SHG’s core values. This role involves direct guest interaction, requiring you to seat guests, take accurate food orders, and ensure that all served meals are correctly prepared and attractively presented. Servers at SHG are expected to demonstrate thorough knowledge of the menu, maintain cleanliness and proper station setup, and comply with legal standards regarding the service of alcoholic beverages. In addition to these responsibilities, servers assist with bussing tables, manage guest checks efficiently, and contribute to a seamless and enjoyable dining atmosphere.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of high school education
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in hotel/restaurant serving role
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally
  • Ability to operate cash registers and other relevant equipment
  • Basic mathematical skills

Job Duties

  • Seats and takes accurate food orders from guests
  • Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented and/or the buffet is appealing
  • Checks station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure
  • Totals checks, presents to guests and accept payment
  • Assists with bussing tables
  • Perform various other duties as assigned
