Job Requirements
- Know local health and safety codes and regulations that apply to the hotel
- Ensure the restaurant service space remains well-stocked at all times
- Serve drinks while following all company, local, and state guidelines
- Validate customers' IDs and monitor all beverage consumption
- Follow financial control procedures for cash, vouchers, inventories, and receivables
- Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after each service
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds frequently
- Flexible scheduling availability
- Variable work hours based on guest occupancy and season
Job Qualifications
- Ability to follow brand and Island Hospitality standard operating procedures to prepare food and beverage items
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Effective problem-solving skills including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving workplace issues
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Ability to extend professionalism and courtesy to guests at all times
Job Duties
- Set up food and beverage service areas according to standards
- Deliver food and beverage orders to guests promptly and accurately
- Retrieve used dishes and utensils from guests' tables
- Ensure restaurant service spaces remain well-stocked at all times
- Serve drinks in compliance with company, local, and state guidelines
- Validate customers' IDs and monitor all beverage consumption
- Clean and sanitize tables, countertops, and floors after each service
