As a Breakfast Host/Hostess at Summit Hospitality Group, you will play a crucial role in shaping the first impressions guests receive each day. The role demands an early start, typically between 5:00 am and 6:00 am, to ensure all aspects of breakfast preparation are executed flawlessly. Responsibilities range from preparing various types of coffee and hot water for tea to managing a buffet of hot and cold breakfast items such as heated eggs, meats, breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereals. The Breakfast Host/Hostess is also responsible for setting up and replenishing stock throughout the shift, maintaining cleanliness in both preparation and dining areas, and greeting guests warmly to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.

Beyond the preparation and service duties, this role includes inventory control and waste management, ensuring that food items are appropriately stored and that exposed items are discarded timely to comply with health and safety standards. The position also requires active involvement in receiving and verifying food deliveries several times a week. Professional communication skills, particularly proficiency in English, are essential for effective coordination with supervisors and team members.

In addition to the operational tasks, the Breakfast Host/Hostess embodies the core values of Summit Hospitality Group by demonstrating a high level of hospitality, attentiveness, and a sense of urgency. The ability to train others quickly and efficiently is valued, emphasizing leadership potential within a team-oriented environment. Physical demands include the ability to lift and move items weighing between 30 to 50 pounds, as well as standing or walking for extended periods.

Employment with Summit Hospitality Group includes flexible work schedules to accommodate both part-time and full-time availability, with shifts including early mornings and weekends.
