The role offered is primarily focused on maintaining high standards of breakfast service and cleanliness, contributing directly to guest satisfaction. This position involves setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar in an attractive, abundant looking, organized, clean, and standardized manner. Responsibilities also include inventory management of food, beverages, and supplies, ordering necessary items, preparing items such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices, and ensuring the presentation of cold food items like muffins and sweet rolls is appealing. The role requires maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the breakfast area by clearing tables promptly, wiping spills, removing trash, restocking self-service items, and thoroughly cleaning serving equipment.
Beyond breakfast service, this role is also tasked with regular cleaning duties such as vacuuming and sweeping carpets and floors, mopping, dusting furniture and room decorations, and inspecting areas for safety hazards as well as the proper functioning of equipment. Attention to detail is critical, with an expectation to use appropriate cleaning agents as directed by supervisors and to report any maintenance issues or lost and found items promptly. Guest service excellence is a high priority, ensuring that every guest interaction is positive and aligned with the company’s standards.
The job demands adherence to company grooming and dress policies, including wearing proper clothing and non-slip shoes to ensure safety. The position requires flexibility as there may be additional duties assigned from time to time. Education and experience prerequisites include a minimum of one year of hostess experience in a restaurant setting and prior hospitality experience is preferred. Knowledge of health department standards regarding food sanitation and safety practices is essential. Customer service experience is also important to successfully fulfill the role’s duties.

Job Duties
- Setting up and maintaining the breakfast bar in an attractive abundant looking organized clean and standardized presentation
- Taking inventory of food beverages and supplies needed for each day
- Ordering or purchasing food supplies
- Preparing foods such as fresh fruit coffee and juices
- Setting up serving dishes trays utensils cups and other products
- Setting out arranging cold food such as sweet rolls muffins and cereal
- Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated
- Wiping up spills
- Removing trash
- Restocking self-service food and supplies as needed
- Washing serving equipment and returning it to storage
- Returning reusable food supplies to storage
- Vacuums and sweeps carpets and floors
- Mops floors
- Dusts brushes polishes and vacuums furniture
- Dusts and cleans room decorations appliances and structural surfaces using appropriate cleaners designated by immediate supervisor
- Inspects areas for safety hazards and for the operating conditions of equipment
- Reports lost and found articles maintenance problems to immediate supervisor and maintenance
- Providing excellent guest service
- Wear proper clothing based on company policy and brand standard including non-slip shoes
