Gaido's Seaside Inn is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Breakfast Cook to join their culinary team. The position requires a candidate who is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Breakfast Cook will play a vital role in preparing the morning menu items, ensuring that the quality and presentation meet the high standards the inn is known for. Responsibilities include preparing all breakfast items according to provided recipes, setting up and maintaining breakfast stations such as waffle irons, cereal, coffee, and tea areas, managing ingredient storage properly, and keeping all work areas clean and sanitized. The cook will also handle product inventory, restocking supplies as needed, and ensuring compliance with all health codes and food safety regulations. A strong knowledge of food safety guidelines and an ability to manage kitchen operations while maintaining cleanliness and organization are essential. This role demands excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and maintaining a smooth workflow during busy breakfast hours. Candidates must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds. Availability for weekdays, weekends, and holidays is a must to meet the demands of the restaurant's schedule. Job Requirements

  • must have or be able to obtain a Texas Food Handlers Certificate
  • prior experience in preparation, cooking, and following recipes preferred

  • must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
