Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be physically able to exert up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 10 pounds constantly
- Must have vision acuity including depth perception and color vision with or without correction
- Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions
- Must be available for daytime shifts
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, count and record figures
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, and request supplies orally or in writing
Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call
- Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Prepares cooking surfaces and various breakfast foods including vegetables, sides, meats, and hot and cold items
- Places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, and refills as necessary
- Prepares items for the upcoming shifts
- Ensures personal understanding of all aspects of the kitchen
- Practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is clean and neat
- Maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- Reports to work when scheduled and on time
- Knowledgeable of menu items and able to take guest orders
