Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent experience
  • Six months or less of similar or related work experience
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • Ability to see and distinguish colors with or without correction
  • Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
  • Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, count and record
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Must report to work when scheduled and on time
  • Must adhere to company policies and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months or less of similar or related work experience
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
  • Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, count and record
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies orally or in writing
  • Friendly and customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food preparation practices

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
  • Make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name when possible
  • Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of customer suggestions, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
  • Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service
  • Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • Prepare cooking surfaces
  • Prepare vegetables, sides, meats and breakfast foods
  • Place food in hot cases, monitor amounts and refill as necessary
  • Prepare items for upcoming shifts
  • Ensure personal understanding of all kitchen aspects
  • Practice proper sanitation and keep work area clean
  • Maintain adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
  • Report to work on time
  • Knowledgeable of menu items and able to take guest orders
