Job Description

Currently, we are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team as Breakfast Attendants for our food and beverage division. This role is instrumental in ensuring that the Breakfast service area is well-maintained, in line with health, sanitation, and cleanliness requirements set forth by state and local Health Boards as well as brand standards and company policies.

The Breakfast Attendant position is a critical frontline role focused on upholding the highest standards of quality and consistency in the breakfast offering. The responsibilities are varied and designed to provide a seamless, pleasant experience for guests starting their day. This hands-on role includes the preparation and transportation of food and beverage items to the buffet breakfast area, continuous monitoring of supplies to ensure all guests are served adequately, and strict adherence to food preparation and quality guidelines. Our Breakfast Attendants act as ambassadors of our brand by welcoming guests warmly, engaging in pleasant conversation to enhance their stay, and professionally responding to guest requests.

Additionally, this position involves inventory management tasks including the purchasing or requisition of food and supplies, monitoring budgets related to food and beverage costs, and maintaining a clean, organized breakfast area that complies with safety and operational standards. Physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and inspecting equipment, as well as maintaining cleanliness of all kitchen and serving areas, are routine parts of the job. The role demands flexibility in scheduling including weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and a proactive approach to field safety and quality concerns.

Successful candidates will be well-versed in handling multiple tasks simultaneously, possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and show a strong attention to detail. A commitment to food safety, hygiene, and energy conservation is essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively with team members while also exercising independent judgment when required. Mandatory certifications pertinent to our brand and area regulations must be held by applicants. Job Duties

  • Prepare and/or transport all food and beverage items and supplies, equipment and materials to and from the buffet breakfast area
  • Continuously monitor area to ensure adequate supplies of food, beverages, supplies, condiments, etc. to serve all guests
  • Follow proper preparation methods and quality standards
  • Welcome guests, make conversation to find out about guest’s stay and experience as well as gathering general information about guests and their trip
  • Respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner
  • Purchase and/or request for purchase inventory to ensure adequate stock of food, beverage, supplies and equipment
  • Monitor food and beverage costs based on budget
  • Maintain and follow breakfast food schedule
  • Ensure procedures are followed for the security and proper storage of all products, inventory and equipment to minimize waste
  • Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work and breakfast area, including but not limited to hoods, filters, tables, carts, ovens and grills, sinks, refrigerators, floors and counters
  • Empty trash and clear tables
  • Move, lift, carry and place objects weighing up to 40 lbs. without assistance and in excess of 40 lbs. with assistance
  • Check the working condition of equipment and report to supervisor all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment
  • May operate dishwashing machine in accordance with manufacturer specifications and instructions and store clean supplies in assigned storage location
  • Inspect items for wear and tear
  • Ensure compliance with energy conservation and job safety requirements
  • Proactively maintain assigned areas and equipment
  • Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner
  • Report all safety concerns to management
  • Attend and participate in all mandatory trainings
  • Flexible with schedule and assignments as well as duties in other departments
  • Maintain effective performance under pressure
  • May perform similar duties as requested by supervisor
