The role of Breakfast Attendant/Host at Best Western Plus Dayton South is a dynamic and crucial position within the hotel’s food and beverage service team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy early morning shifts, seek full-time employment, and prefer to complete their workday by noon. The Breakfast Attendant/Host coordinates the breakfast service, ensuring that the breakfast area is clean, well-stocked, and welcoming to guests each morning. Beyond managing food stations and keeping the area tidy, this role requires excellent interpersonal skills as it involves direct interaction with guests, promoting a friendly atmosphere and attending to guest needs to enhance their breakfast experience.

Working Monday through Sunday from 5:00am to 11:30am, this position offers consistent morning hours, creating a routine that benefits those who are morning-oriented. The attendant is responsible for setting up breakfast stations each day, monitoring food and beverage levels to maintain an optimum supply, and addressing any guest requests during service hours. At the end of the breakfast period, the role involves cleaning the breakfast and kitchen areas and ensuring everything is organized for the next day.

In addition to the daily breakfast operation tasks, the Breakfast Attendant/Host supports the larger team by assisting with general guest inquiries and other duties as designated by the management. Job Duties

  • Welcomes and thanks all guests for their patronage
  • Set up breakfast stations
  • Maintain appropriate quantity of food and beverage at hot, cold and beverage stations during breakfast hours
  • Keep area clean and stocked
  • Interact with guests pleasantly during shift
  • Put away breakfast at the end of the shift
  • Cleaning of kitchen and breakfast area at the end of the shift
  • Perform routine daily tasks as set forth in the daily checklist
  • Demonstrate knowledge on facilities and amenities associated with the hotel
  • Communicate with guests and employees both verbally and in writing
  • Assist all guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by direct supervisor or hotel management staff
