Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- ability to read and understand directions
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to follow Brazos Presbyterian Homes' policies and procedures
- safety-conscious work habits
- physical capability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and perform tasks requiring climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and reaching
- professional conduct with residents and colleagues
- good health with no infectious diseases or skin lesions
- ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods
- compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- adherence to drug-free workplace policy

Job Duties
- Receive assignments from supervisor and follow cleaning and laundry schedule
- clean Independent and Health Care Center resident rooms, nursing stations, kitchens, dining rooms, therapy/treatment rooms, offices, restrooms, activity rooms, utility areas, closets, lobbies, lounges, and halls
- clean, dust, wash, and disinfect fixtures, floors, walls, doors, ceilings, water fountains, sinks, mirrors, glass panels, brass and furnishings
- replenish supplies such as soap and towels
- perform terminal cleaning in resident rooms and isolation rooms as per policy
- check and restock utility cart supplies and equipment
- maintain orderliness of supply closet
- identify and report areas needing special housekeeping attention
- clean and disinfect resident care equipment
