Job Description

This position is for an Executive Chef at a distinguished Italian restaurant chain renowned for delivering an exceptional dining experience by serving high-quality, authentic Italian cuisine. The Executive Chef role is integral to the success of the restaurant's back of house operations. This leadership position requires overseeing every aspect of kitchen management, including the preparation of great-tasting Italian dishes, maintaining food quality and consistency, and ensuring safety and sanitation protocols are rigorously followed. The Executive Chef will lead the chef team by setting high standards for cooking and food presentation, managing inventory and food costs effectively, and creating an efficient work environment that balances quality and profitability. Additionally, the Executive Chef plays a key role in recruiting, training, and retaining the best back of house employees to build a cohesive and skilled culinary team.

Operational responsibilities include managing the kitchen for optimal efficiency and contributing to the overall EBITDA by controlling labor and food costs. The Executive Chef will conduct regular menu tastings to ensure flavors and presentation meet the brand's expectations and leverage guest feedback and food-related review trackers to continuously improve the dining experience. They will also coordinate with front of house teams during pre-shifts to maintain seamless communication and smooth service flow.

Leadership is a vital component of this role, requiring the Executive Chef to motivate and develop staff through ongoing training, coaching, and performance reviews. This role demands a hands-on leader capable of modeling the company mission and values, fostering open communication, promoting teamwork, and creating a fun yet professional atmosphere. The Executive Chef is responsible for holding managers, chefs, and staff accountable to the highest standards and ensuring that everyone has the resources and support they need to excel.

Job Duties
